A Whisky Appreciation Society that meets quarterly to discuss, taste and imbibe quality whiskies from around the world.
C'ead Mile Failte!
We have a new favourite whisky - or rather whiskey!
Following the excellent March meeting at Chez Catterall, when we tasted four Irish whiskies (OK one was added only as an aperitif), the Yellow Spot 12 year old was rated a whopping average rating of 16.75 out of 20 - dislodging the previous leader, the Indian Amrut Single Malt Intermediate Sherry Whisky. Details and tasting notes of the Yellow Spot and all the other whiskies can be found under the 'Whiskies Tasted' tab.
Next meeting takes place on Friday 7th July - venue TBA. Make sure the date is in your diary!
